Thank you Mr. Clement. I hope that Pierre Poilievre is aware of your deep concerns about our pathetic foreign policy. Even better, I hope you are available to work with the new Conservative government, when it is elected and before, to forge a way going forward that meets the needs of Canada. I have followed your writings for many years and see you as a true Canadian patriot. We need you! I know that once the Liberals are out of office, the remaining people who are involved in the Liberal party will do everything in their power to stop Pierre....including lies, disinformation and AI bots. Let's be careful and intelligent and get it done so that they are stymied in their attempts.

I agree with you except the climate change piece. I don’t agree with that issue being front and center. This is the culmination of decades of use and abuse by communist China beginning in BC 40+ years ago. The best investigator on this topic is Sam Cooper, The Bureau and his book “Wilful Blindness”, which every Canadian should review. Too few have paid attention to this gradual infiltration into every area of society. Trudeau is the result. The CCP pick in 2013. I don’t believe he won any election legitimately, anymore than I believe Eby won the B.C. election. The apathy within the general public has allowed this corruption to flourish. That includes policing. Sad overview of how many were willing to corrupt their country and turn a blind eye. Trudeau could have and should have been charged for SNC. The RCMP did not interview him or his office. Now we expect one man to save Canada. The Charter is not worth the paper it’s written on. Let’s start there. Too much power in the PM office. First thing I would change.

Great read. Poilievre faces a huge task on so many fronts if (when) elected with most of it circling back around to trade and the economy. The credit cards are maxed out and the bill is coming due so we will need to focus on trade while maintaining a balance with diverse customers with their own priorities. The hard left lean of the present administration will need to be corrected or we will languish on the sidelines and lose further ground economically. Big job.

Thank-you for your cleared-eyed recounting of the issues facing Canadians. I agree with you except for climate change. We have nothing to fear from climate change. We do, however, have a lot to fear from government policies on climate change. I do not know if you're relying on MSM for your climate information but I strongly advise you to go to independent sources which show over and over Climate change is a manufactured emergency bogged down by misinformation and outright data fraud. Just like the fake covid emergency.

Michael Mann's bogus hockey stick graph says it all...manufactured, contrived, fraudulent, deceitful, academically shameful.

Agreed on the climate change. It's not a problem, let alone a crisis. Roger Pielke Jr. at The Honest Broker and Matthew Wielicki at Irrational Fear (both Substacks) offer the best information on this topic.

I'm familiar with both. There's many renowned scientists who're vilified and their research suppressed. Government funded scientists produce results supporting government policy. No others need apply.

When you look at how desperately JT is clinging to power, it's hard not to come to the conclusion that he has been compromised by the PRC and that he knows this will be revealed shortly after his defeat. Nothing else in my mind can explain his bizarre extreme attempts to avoid an election that he absolutely knows he will lose.

Just a side note: Canada owes the US over 100 billion so I suggest the understanding that bill can be due right quick should the China relationship becomes any more cozier. The money laundering going on needs to end too. You are allowing not only China and Iran to clean Ill gotten gains but also serious terrorist organizations too. The silent majority will rise among the populists and head to the center of not center right I believe. What you’ve been is quite liberal for a long time and you are seeing how horrible these ideals play out. Time to clean house and deal with the real world issues.
