What a great interview. I think one of the most powerful strategies used by countries that don't have our western values (China Russia as obvious examples) is stopping the conversations that regular people have about issues they see. I see it all the time in commentaries from the public where the trolls or the apologists are all over any comments that they see as leading to the unveiling of the threat their countries pose. I think it is hard to put your finger on because when you are attacked or downvoted or outright deactivated you think, well 'what did I say that was wrong'. The terms that I see used are disinformation, conspiracy spreaders and other insulting epithets. When I saw many years ago the CBC basically disallowing any community comments on topics they consider protected, I knew we were in trouble. And this is from our publicly funded broadcaster. For example, any articles on First Nations in Canada are heavily protected. The actions by the mods inhibit any community discussion of important issues and these in-house groups are protected and shielded. I was a long term reader of the National Post, literally decades, mostly for the columnists. The final straw was I was deactivated for congratulating a columnist for his writing...literally using a quote from the column in short sentence. There was no ability to clarify or appeal of even understand what the heck they were on about. So I gave up and told them that I would get my news from other sites. Hence they lost my subscription and I am much happier with more direct contact with journalists, like Sam here and this brave Aussie, speaking out on world events. So thanks Sam and the many others in Canada and elsewhere for working hard behind the scenes. I can't do much to help but what I can do I will.
Fascinating listen. So much to cover so perhaps you can have Andrew back for a longer chat. “ Triads working directly with the CCP “ The world becoming more corrupt by the day.
Scary about the CCP Shipping dominance & meanwhile the Canadian Military has never been weaker.
Sam, what do you think of Trudeau's comments that he gives little credence to Intel provided by CISIS and the RCMP claiming that their allegations lack hard evidence and their observations should be challenged.

Truly excellent interview. As a long time watcher of this dangerous situation you said what no one is saying out loud.
